Precious Innocence In The Enemy's Attack

I used to wonder how they did it;  Marines and other troops in Vietnam and perhaps even today in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Vietcong would sometimes send little children towards them strapped with bombs.

How do you fight that?

Or do you?

What can you do?

What would you do when you watched a little three or four year old coming at you knowing that he or she was a vice of the enemy,  intent on destroying you and the way of life and the precious people you protect?

I do remember in Panama, during the Noriega regime; how that the enemy would hide behind their children and use them as human shields, hoping that we might shoot one of them and cause a national incident. It is a horrible feeling. This is the epitome of what  cowardliness  is.

Yet, this is how darkness operates. It cares nothing of love or what is precious in God's sight and  will use it to destroy and hate you with all of its might.

Sadly, one of my greatest nightmares has been made real in discovering that Hell itself will attack you with this same vice in spiritual places and it will plunge you into a deep dark lonely place where you are left wondering how you could possibly lift a finger against it and it will drive you to your knees with all you have in you, all the while expossing every weakness in you that you could never even begin to imagine.

How do you protect something precious that the enemy is attacking by using something precious and you know that if the two meet then it would leave a horrible wake of destruction for all that is precious?

Only God knows how to fight these kinds of battles.

Only God.

The annointed David was attacked with every onslaught in his life.

But...

He always strengthened himself in the Lord God and I do the same. There is no higher, nor greater power than the risen Jesus Christ.

There were times when all turned against the Lord's annointed but God was always and ever faithful and more real then ever. Though all would turn away and leave the soul greatly distressed, God never will.

"And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stonning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God." 1 Samuel 30:6

Dear God please protect that which is precious to you and I, in  the blessed and mighty name of the risen Lord Jesus Christ...amen.
